In a reception function of Sonahati Recreation Club, Mr. Pradyosh Chandra Mitter gave respect to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle for creating a great character of Sherlock Holmes which has always inspired so many real-life detectives of the world. Lalmohan Babu gave around 100 autographs as he was the creator of Prakhar Rudra, another famous detective character. Jaak, choto ra tahole boi pore akhon. 

Jaichand Boral did a blunder by telling about that Pink Pearl to a friend. That friend shared the information with a journalist. The news got published in the Bengali newspaper. They had a dinner at Someswar Saha’s house on that night. After all, Feluda was having a reunion with his classmate after a long gap of 15 years. The ancestral business of that school teacher was of gems and jewellery. Mr. Abhay Charan Boral was the grandfather of Jaichand’s grandfather. Abhay Charan Boral got a Pink Pearl near the coast of Madras which he never sold to anyone. Actually, among all types of pearls found in India, the most rare and valuable type of pearl is Pink Pearl. Bolen ki moshai, Mukto saada chara o hoy! 

Maganlal Meghraj had a house in Joka, Thakurpukur area of Kolkata. Maganlal came to stay at his house at Joka. Jaichand Boral came to Feluda’s house in the next morning. Ei ek din ei apnaar opor diye besh dhakal gache mone hocche. Motilal Boral, the cousin brother of Jaichand Boral demanded a share of the selling price of the Pink Pearl. Motilal Boral left Sonahati 15 years back to start a new business in Benaras. Suraj Singh sent a telegram from Dharampur Palace of Dharampur village in Uttar Pradesh to buy that Pink Pearl. Maganlal offered Rs. 1 lakh to Jaichand Boral in a telephonic conversation. Dekhun kaal Joka e ki hoy. 

Jaichand got harassed at Maganlal’s house in Joka. Jatayu bought a fake Pink Pearl of Rs. 600 from the market. Jaichand Boral was attacked by some goons at Sonahati. Maganlal came to Feluda’s house to threaten him. Kaal sham tak time dicchi aapnaake, samjhe! Sidhu Jyatha was just like Mycroft Holmes who was more intelligent than Sherlock Holmes. Du e du e char kore ki khub bhool korechi? Feluda got some valid information about Suraj Singh from Sidhu Jyatha. Maganlal went out of Kolkata. Suraj Singh was in Agra for a business meeting with the American businessmen. Ei toh M Meghraj, 1^st Class AC upto Varanasi. Benaras, Agra noy? They booked three reservation tickets in Amritsar Mail to reach Benaras. Asol ta enechen toh? Sure! In my red suitcase! They went to Meghraj’s house. The owner of Roshni Talkies of Benaras promised to help Pradyosh Mitter because unless the Pink Pearl gets sold at a high price, the cousin brother of Jaichand will not get a big amount as his share. After the Maganlal mission, they had a plan to go to Mughalsarai by car to catch the Toofan Express to reach Agra to stay at Agra Hotel. Dispensary! Tomar dada ki not feeling well? The Pink Pearl got interchanged inside the Toofan Express. In the walls of Taj Mahal, the 7^th wonder of the world, it is written in Persian language, ‘Gas firdaus ruhe zameen asht, hamin astha, hamin astha, hamin asht.’ Seta abaar ki? KAKABABU O SANTU - MISHAR RAHASYA !!!

People of ancient Egypt used to express their expressions by writing in combinations of symbols, pictures and alphabets which were popularly known as Hieroglyphic writing. Raja Roychowdhury visited Egypt 10 years back and learned to decipher the hieroglyphic writing. Santu tried to learn cycling and injured his leg. Kakababu went to Delhi for investigating a case. Mr. Roychowdhury was reading a book in a hotel room of Delhi. Around at 11 PM, a person fired a bullet at the Detective. Santu fell in trouble after trying to investigate the drowning case of two boys in a pond of Tiljala area. The boy slipped and fell in the pond. When he came out of the pond, some people started creating some spicy stories. The Officer-In-Charge (OC) of Tiljala area called up Special IG, Mr. R. Bhattacharya. Sunanda Roychowdhury got out of the trouble after talking to the Special IG. After reading Kakababu’s letter, Santu headed towards Delhi with a Passport. Narendra Verma, the CBI officer tightened the security of Kakababu and Santu. Apni kamon achen? CBI er lok kakhono bhalo thake na Santu. On that night, a person tried to kidnap Santu but as per Santu, that stranger was a novice. The stranger left a locket in the hotel room.

On the next morning, Raja started unfolding the mysteries bit by bit. Egyptians used to write so many historical incidents in the walls of pyramids by Hieroglyphic writing. Al Mamun was a disciple of Mufti Muhammad who used to draw pictures on yellow coloured papers with red pencils. Those drawings were nothing but the hieroglyphs only. Al Mamun wanted the help of Kakababu to decipher those drawings to find out the location of hidden treasures inside a special pyramid. The 97 year old man came to Delhi for medical treatment, but, he kept on drawing and he could not talk or hear at that age. Egyptians used to construct pyramids to keep the dead bodies of their Kings and Queens along with the valuable items. Egyptians believed that their Kings and Queens will again become alive after some years inside the Pyramids. Though, there were lots of mythological ghost stories regarding the Mummies. Egyptian Pyramids were created within the years of 2686 B.C. to 2160 B.C. Long time back, an European archaeologist failed to find the mummy of Queen Hetepheres inside the sarcophagus which was kept outside the pyramid. Who stole the mummy of Queen Hetepheres from the Pyramid? Mufti Muhammad died after writing some hieroglyphs in front of Raja. Al Mamun wanted to know the secrets forcefully, but failed to do so.

They reached Cairo. Welcome to Cairo. Egyptian newspapers wrote articles about Raja and made him the thief of Mufti Muhammad’s legal will. Hani-Al-Qadi was the leader of a rebel force of Egypt whose job was to control the properties of Pharaohs. Mantu warned Raja about the risk in staying in Cairo. Mufti Muhammad lost his parents at the age of 7 years and then started begging. At his young age, he became a tourist guide of the pyramids. So, Mufti learned all the secret routes of pyramids. King Farouk was a not so a good king of Egypt. Mufti Muhammad created a rebel force to protest against the Egypt Government to remove King Farouk. Egyptians wanted Mufti Muhammad as the 1^st President of Egypt, but, Mufti had no greed for power. General Naguib became the 1^st President of Egypt. Mufti Muhammad resigned from the rebel force and became a religious leader of Egypt. Mufti ran a rebel force; but how? Where were his treasures and weapons? Al Mamun, a businessman and Hani-Al-Qadi, a leader of a rebel force wanted those treasures and weapons.

Hani-Al-Qadi’s men kidnapped Raja. Kakababu was surprised to see the books of William Shakespeare and Rabindranath Tagore at Qadi’s den. Hani had to bend before Raja. Dago Abdullah, an efficient guide was called for the mission. But, Al Mamun’s men kidnapped Santu. Kakababu told Hani to send a special letter to Al Mamun. Al Mamun accepted the agreement. They started the mission to go to the underground of the Pyramid. Sir Flinders Petry, the famous archaeologist was expert in finding out all the secret routes of Pyramids. Everyone followed his footsteps and ultimately, so many valuable things of the Pyramids got stolen. Nowadays, the Egyptian Government shifted some the remaining valuables of the Pyramids in their Museums. The focal point of the tunnel was on the centroid of the triangle that they created there. Santu tackled that scorpion well. Turn that picture in the clockwise direction to straighten it up. Mufti Muhammad told Kakababu all the secrets of the Pyramid. Both Kakababu and Santu entered inside the labyrinth of the Pyramid. Climb to the rocky wall and turn the statue of that Eagle bird. Inside the sarcophagus, there was no mummy of Queen Hetepheres. Long time back, Al Bukhari and Mufti Muhammad played a trick to confuse a foreign archaeologist. After the Queen’s image, count 9 other images. Look at the copies of the 10^th image on the roof. Press the 10^th image of the roof. Santu found a coffin and found whose Mummy? Santu was told to copy the five images. What happened to Al Mamun? Did Kakababu and Santu succeed in fulfilling the last wish of late Mufti Muhammad? Did Hani-Al-Qadi succeed in getting any hidden treasures by matching the 5 images near the coffin of Queen Hetepheres with the 5 images near the coffin of Pharoah Atem? LIFE OF PI !!!

The French used to live in Pondicherry, a small and beautiful place of India. The coastal areas of Pondicherry used to look like France only. Just beyond a canal, the Pondicherry looked like Indian Pondicherry. Muslims used to live in the western part of Pondicherry. Was your dad, a great mathematician? Mamaji was his swimming Guru. Piscine Molitor was a famous swimming pool of Paris City in France where the pool water was so clear that you could even prepare a cup of coffee with that water. Mamaji enjoyed swimming in that pool and recommended about that swimming pool to one of his best friends. If you want your son to have a clean soul, then you must take your son to swim in Piscine Molitor. 

Piscine Molitor Patel used to get humiliated in the school due to his name. On the first day of every new session in any school, every student gets a chance to introduce himself to the teachers of their respective subjects. The value of PI is 3.14. Is it a Greek alphabet? How many places of decimals did he wrote on that blackboard? By the end of the day, the little boy succeeded in confirming his name as PI Patel. The Canadian writer was in search of a story and Mamaji recommended about PI. The French gave back their French Colony of Pondicherry to India in 1954. A businessman of Pondicherry who used to run a hotel decided to convert Jardin Botanique, a French local botanical garden into a small zoo. The botanist married the businessman and gave birth to Ravi, the elder brother of Piscine.

There are 33 million Gods in the Hindu religion. After hearing the heroic acts of Lord Krishna, the little child started regarding Lord Krishna as a Superhero while reading the mythological comic books. Piscine started regarding the Hindu Gods as Superheroes. Lord Hanuman lifted an entire mountain to save the life of Lakshman, the younger brother of Lord Rama. Lord Ganesh risked his life to save the honour of his mother, Goddess Parvati. Lord Vishnu was the supreme soul, the source of all things. The little boy was little confused about the ideals of Christianity. Sacrificing the lives of innocent people for the sins of guilty people has no real sense at all. If God is so perfect, then why the almighty God created human beings? Human beings just need to know one thing; that God loves each and every creature of this planet Earth! I came to faith through Hinduism and got God’s love from Christ but God wasn’t finished with me yet. God works in mysterious ways. So, God introduced himself to me again and this time in the form of Allah. Santosh Patel told Piscine to explore more about science rather than religion, but, Piscine never stopped exploring different religions. Why not! Because FAITH is a house with many rooms where doubts exist in every floor of that house! Doubt is very useful as it keeps FAITH as a living thing. After all, you cannot know the strength of your faith until it is being tested.

Due to some wrong paper works, the name of the Royal Bengal Tiger became Richard Parker. The little boy was scolded for trying to feed a tiger of the zoo. The Royal Bengal Tiger was surprised to see a little boy who was trying to feed a tiger. Santosh Patel came at the right time to save his 2^nd son. Gita Patel requested her husband to forgive Piscine. Piscine fell in love with Anandi. Lotus flower is hiding in the forest! Why would a Lotus flower hide in a forest? Santosh Patel decided to leave India and settle down at Canada due to some financial constraints and even planned to sell the animals in foreign countries. We will sail like Christopher Columbus. But Christopher Columbus was looking for India only. The Lotus flower remained in the forest itself. Piscine even forgot to bid goodbye to Anandi. 

The Patel family along with the zoo animals started their journey towards Canada in a Japanese cargo ship. The cook of the ship was not in a mood to serve vegetarian foods whereas the Patel family members were vegetarian except Santosh Patel. Orange juice tranquilizers were installed inside the bananas to feed the monkeys to prevent them from sea-sickness. After 4 days journey from the Port of Manila, the city of Philippines, the Japanese cargo ship was awaiting a big danger at Mariana Trench, the deepest point of the Oceans of the world near the Philippines basin. The deepness of Mariana Trench is greater than the altitude of Mount Everest. The deadly sea storm forced the Japanese cargo ship to collide with a big rocky island near Mariana Trench. Even the sea waves were so deadly, that all the sea waters entered inside the ship. Piscine also did a blunder by opening the door of the cabin during the sea storm. PI was thrown in a life boat along with a zebra. Richard Parker followed that life boat. Hang on! The hyena was also on that boat. The monkey also boarded the PI’s Ark. The hyena was hungry and it killed both zebra and monkey on that boat. PI was too furious and was about to attack the hyena with his knife that the Royal Bengal Tiger came to the party. Richard killed the hyena and PI left the boat to float on a red coloured tyre. The life boat had around 90 cans of drinking waters, a guidebook and several packets of biscuits. PI transferred all those supplies to his little vessel. 

PI read the guidebook, but, he realized very quickly that the practical life does not always abide by the rules of several theories. Above all, don’t lose hope! That’s the only consolation; the guidebook offered him. Step 4: Disregard Step 1, 2, 3. A Royal Bengal Tiger’s hunger is always a deadly one. The vegetarian boy started hunting fishes. Unlike all other species of tigers in the world, the Royal Bengal Tigers are the only tiger species which can swim efficiently in waters too. Wild animals also start behaving like humans if humans start behaving to them like a true human being. The Royal Bengal Tiger became calm when he found that the young boy helped him to get into the boat again. PI hunted a big fish and gave it to Parker to eat it. On that night, a big blue whale showed his acrobatic skills and as a result, PI lost all his food supplies. In the next morning, some big fishes were chasing small fishes and some fishes in Pacific Ocean do have wings to fly also. Mother Nature gifted them so many fishes on the boat. Hunger makes a human behave like a wild animal also. The vegetarian boy ate the raw fish. Hunger and struggle sometimes changes your life and life is the best book of the world to teach you so many things silently. Wild animals cannot be tamed but can be trained easily. Slowly and steadily, the Royal Bengal Tiger became a good friend of PI. After all, both these creatures were part of the same zoo only. 

Again, a deadly sea storm took place. Both PI and Parker were almost starving. On a fine morning, their boat reached an island. Lots of mongoose greeted them. But, on that night, the water pond of that island became acidic and some plants started behaving like carnivorous plants. Actually, in the Mexican coastal forests near Gulf of Mexico, there are lots of carnivorous plants like Pitcher Plants, Sundew Plants, etc. They left that carnivorous island the next morning. God was watching them as he always does and was always giving the signals to follow by remaining completely indifferent to their sufferings. Ultimately, both of them reached the Mexican coast. Richard Parker went into the jungle without bidding goodbye. PI felt disheartened, but was happy that due to Parker, he actually survived and hoped that Parker would also survive in the jungle. The Japanese Cargo Ship had an insurance cover. Piscine slightly fine-tuned the same story to the Inspectors of the Insurance Company. Which story do you prefer? Anyway, it’s your story now. PI had a wife, a cat, a daughter and a son. Though the Royal Bengal Tiger didn’t look back before going inside the Mexican jungle, but, still, it was, nevertheless, a happy ending for the story based on the “LIFE OF PI”.
