Welcome to Madhumalai forest of the Tamil Nadu state of India nation in the year of 2019. Can you see that man having a close watch on all the creatures of the forest just like a leader of the forest. He belongs to the 'Kattunayakan' tribe. The Tamil word, 'Kattunayakan' means the 'leader of the forest'. 'Kattu' means forest and 'Nayakan' means leader. Since the ancient Dravidian culture of ancient India, this 'Kattunayakan' tribal people have been the protector of wildlife in the wild forests of South India. Even, it is in the gene of 'Kattunayakan' tribal people for generations after generations about how to have a good relationship or how to deal tactfully with wild animals. 'Theppakadu Elephant camp' is one of the oldest elephant camps in Asia which is around 140 years old. Raghu had no one and was not uniting with any herd inside the forest.
The forest department assigned Bellie whose former husband got killed by a tiger, to take care of Raghu. Raghu got cured and survived. The emotional quotient of animals which live amongst human beings gets upgraded and they can understand everything, though, they cannot talk. Taking care of animals is not an easy task indeed. Raghu's favourite food is coconut, though, he cannot ignore millet balls too. Monkeys love to eat millets and they are always active whenever it is a feeding time for the elephants. Bellie felt the same pain as it was when her daughter started the journey towards heaven. Bomman felt very disappointed as Raghu was really a special one for him. Ammu felt very lonely. The monkeys were observing and understanding everything. Bellie became famous as 'Yaanai Amma'. 'Save the forests, save the animals'. The children of the forest are becoming good friends of the elephants, which is a good positive sign for them in the future to become "THE ELEPHANT WHISPERERS".
