1000 years ago, a meteorite fell on
an island of Bay of Bengal. The British Empire ruled in India for around 200
years or so. In their ruling period, they used to send notorious criminals to
Cellular Jail of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. That prison was popularly known
as Kaala Paani. In 1924, an Indian Freedom Fighter whose name was Gunadhar
Talukdar was kept as a prisoner in that Cellular Jail. Some prisoners were
taken to an island to cut down some trees. Mr. Talukdar managed to escape in
the jungle. The British soldiers failed to find him. The freedom fighter used
to chant ‘Vande Mataram’ and had a ‘Bhagwad Gita’ book with him.
In 1974, Santu visited Alipore Zoo
with his friends. Inside the Zoo, Santu observed that a man exchanged a
briefcase with an old man. They used to call that old man as Upen Jyatha. The
CBI Investigator, Raja Roychowdhury got information about Panja’s next plan.
That’s why; he requested the Home Secretary to book a bunglow for him at
Andaman. The man with the white wig on his head ordered two criminals to board
the ship with a disguised look. They boarded the ship from the Khidderpore Dock
of Kolkata to start their journey towards Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Kakababu
gave a red coloured diary to Santu.
Santu recognized the man who
exchanged that briefcase in the Alipore Zoo. Both the Punjabi Sardar and the
traditional Bengali person were in disguise. Santu wrote about all the
suspicious things in his red diary. The man with a French-Cut beard was also
doing his duty. Santu was trying to hear their discussion while standing
outside their cabin. The chase began. But, the white-wigged man didn’t kill
that boy as the boy knew all the truth and was travelling on the ship with a
CBI Investigator. They may land up in a big trouble if they murder that boy on
the ship. The ship reached Port Blair.
Kakababu was received by Mr. Dasgupta
at the Port Blair. The CBI Investigator felt angry after hearing the fact that
a security person was deployed inside the ship by the Home Secretary for his
security. Kakababu told Mr. Dasgupta to keep a strict vigilance on those three
criminals. But, alas, the three criminals sat on a jeep which had a fake plate
number. In the 1930’s or so, so many scientists came to visit the Jarawa Island
but they never returned. Why those scientists dared to visit that island and
how did they die? Why the smuggler Panja is also focusing on this particular
island? Kakababu wanted to know the mystery behind it.
Jarawas are the primitive tribal
people of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, though, these tribal people are on the
verge of extinction. But, the Sentinelese tribal people are still having a
decent population in Andaman Islands. The Jarawas wear a red coloured cloth on
their body and they are expert in archery. The Jarawas hate the people of
civilized society as they were always brutally tortured and humiliated by the
humans of civilized society. All those scientists got killed near the Jarawa
Island itself. All the scientists actually came to grab that meteorite which is
glowing for thousand years in that Jarawa Island.
The scientists want to know about
that nuclear element of the Universe which can glow for so many years like the
Sun. Perhaps, those scientists could make some nuclear bombs if they grab that
glowing element. The ‘Nila’ boat was still there at the Marine Harbour, but
those criminals got another boat which exactly looked like the ‘Nila’ boat.
Kakababu ordered Mr. Dasgupta to arrange a motor boat to follow those
criminals. While looking at the map, Kakababu asked Mr. Dasgupta about a
special zone where the dead bodies of scientists were found with a small piece
of red cloth.
To go nearer to the Jarawa Island,
you need to take a special permission from the Home Secretary Office of India.
But, the CBI Investigator was desperate to enter that island. Kakababu handed
over a declaration letter to Mr. Dasgupta and rowed the boat towards the Jarawa
Island along with his nephew. Inside the island, they found an injured and
senseless Jarawa person. After a while, they heard the gun firing by Panja and
his gang members. One of Panja’s men got injured as one Jarawa tribe targeted
an arrow towards him. Kakababu told Santu to go out of that island. Mr.
Dasgupta informed everything to the Police Inspector.
What are you saying! Our Mother India
has been freed from the rusted iron chains of the Queen of England. Our
motherland, India has got independence in 1947. That’s great! Shubro jyotsna
pulokito jaminim, phulla kusumita drumadala shobinim, suhasinim sumadhura
bhashinim, sujalam sufalam malayaja shetalam...Vande Mataram. Oho! The son of
Motilal Nehru became the first Prime Minister of Independent India. Actually,
the freedom fighter was totally disconnected from the outer world in these 50
years. The Policemen reached the Jarawa Island at the early morning to arrest
those criminals.
Gunadhar felt sad to know that his
younger brother got killed by the British Army in a freedom fighting movement
of 1942. Kakababu and Santu requested Gunadhar Talukdar to return to India as
India has got freedom now. Even the
Policemen of India will not regard Gunadhar Talukdar as a criminal. They will
regard him as a freedom fighter of India. It is easier said than done. For so
many years, the freedom fighter lived with those Jarawa tribal people. Andaman
and Nicobar Islands is also a part of Independent India. Gunadhar decided to
live his remaining years at Jarawa Island as the Jarawas regard him as the “SABUJ
DWIPER RAJA”.
