Since the Rig Vedic Ages of the Aryans, the Head of the Hindu Undivided Family (HUF) is called as the Karta. When the Karta is young, everyone obeys and respects him. When that very same Karta becomes old to live the life of a senior citizen or super senior citizen, then, either he is badly treated by his family members or he is transferred to an old age home. It is sometimes too frustrating for an old man to live that type of a life. It is better to live young and die young, but, God is not always too kind. As per Bhagwad Gita, if you have committed too many sins in your younger days, then you have to bear too much pain in your older days.
The Karta of a Hindu Undivided Family (HUF) was unable to walk properly. He had three sons; Devesh, Ramesh and Bibhuti. All the sons were too callous towards their old father. No one even used to give morning tea or breakfast in time to that old man. But, luckily, the servant, Badan was too kind-hearted and very loyal to the Karta. Badan used to buy some foods from the market or steal some foods from the kitchen to feed Karta every morning. Karta used to become so happy that he usually allowed the servant to eat some of those foods also. When Maharaja Jajati became old, his son took all the Jarabhyadh to keep Jajati young. All these things happen only in mythological life. In real life, not a single old man is as lucky as Jajati.
Karta’s wife always had to do too much work despite having three daughter-in-laws in that joint family. Actually, the women of next generation are not as good as a homemaker in comparison to the homemakers of previous generation. That’s a big tragedy for the Hindu society in the near future. Karta’s wife gave a bowl of barley to eat and then gave him some medicines which were prescribed by the family doctor. The Karta fell asleep. Karta’s friends gave him the information that the modern medical science has become so advanced that the scientists may even come out with a medicine which will keep human beings young forever. Another friend of Karta suggested him to go for a tour or pilgrimage and to have a dip in hot springs.
The Karta started his journey towards Jhantipahari for a change, accompanied by his loyal servant, Badan alias Bada. The Karta wanted to have a ride on a horse. Badan made a nice arrangement for that. The horse started running towards a Pond beside the famous Nagtara Hills. The Karta fell into that pond. My goodness! A young man came out of that pond. A Baul (folk singer of Bengal) was singing the song, ‘O Bhola Mon re’. The young man was so excited about his re-youth that he snatched the Ektara (a special musical instrument with one string attached in the middle of it) from the Baul and started singing the song, ‘Daao Doob…Doob Daao…Doob diye jaao…O Bhola Mon re…’
Devesh, Ramesh and Bibhuti were stunned to see their young father. The young man passed all the oral tests that were taken by his sons. The three sons were now feeling ashamed to call such a young man as their father. The daughter-in-laws had the nuisance values as they wanted to impress their young father-in-law to ensure that they get the ‘Pond of Youth’ in their name and then, they could sell the water of that pond at high prices to become billionaires. On that night, the Karta fled with his wife from his house. On the other hand, Mr. Roy succeeded in proving to the Health Department that the water inside the drum was the water of ‘Pond of Youth’ only. The President of World Health Organization (WHO) fenced the entire pond.
Badan opened a new company, ‘Naba Jouban Sedhel Company’, where all the old men and women were giving money to get a chance to have a holy dip at the ‘Pond of Youth’. Two old Marwari businessmen came to have a dip at the ‘Pond of Youth’, but, after seeing such a crowd, they became demoralized. Badan made them scapegoats to earn 5000 bucks from each. Makhan’s Mother also came to have a holy dip. Badan and his men used a special mechanical tool to throw Ginni Maa (Karta’s wife) on the ‘Pond of Youth’. The crowd was overjoyed to hear the sound of dipping. The President of WHO was amazed to see a 70 years old woman getting transformed into a girl of 17 years.
The President of WHO decided to keep that young lady in the camp. Badan and his men dug a tunnel to reach the camp. Badan and his men got convicted. A hermit brainwashed a security guard. Later in the midnight, the Karta rescued his wife from the camp. Karta and Ginni Maa were having a nice romantic time inside the four-wheeler while singing a romantic song. A cop was chasing them. Then the cop and the Karta had some actions inside the pond water. Ultimately, the cop arrested the Karta. The Karta woke up and felt disappointed to see the same old lifestyle. Maybe, that’s why; the Karta rightly remarked, “AASITEY AASIO NAA” (Don’t come to the age of 80 years).
